Twitter, the most used micro-blogging site on the Internet, released an update of its official mobile app for the iPhone and Android. There’s nothing Twitteriffic about the new 4.1 version update, released on Tuesday, but for those who tweet by phone, there are a few welcomed navigation features brought back to the app.

Both mobile versions of the program got the swipe shortcut feature back, which enables you can slide your finger across a tweet and it reveals options for contact reply, retweeting, starring and exporting a tweet, and a profile link icon. This swipe attribute saves you a total of one tap compared to the old version, and most of all it means you don’t have to leave the timeline in order to perform common actions.
