Faking It With Style – Enhancing Your Images With TiltShiftMaker

enhancing imagesThe idea behind tilt-shift is to make your photographs of real life-sized objects look like photographs of models.

No, not supermodels. That’s a whole different subject. TitlShiftmaker makes this easy, and the results are great.

You can buy lenses for big cameras that do this stuff properly, but most of us will never find the money, justify the expense, or learn to operate the equipment. Get your tilt-shift fix here instead.

Where does this fit?

We’ve covered many image enhancement options before, from the simple to the ludicrously complex. This is a simple site with a simple aim, and it doesn’t claim to replace either real tilt-shift lenses or the customisable effects from packages like Photoshop. But enhancing images with it is easy, quick, fun, and the results look very cool.

So if you want to have some fun with your existing images and see what you can do, here it is.

Getting your images into TiltShiftMaker

The front page of the site provides everything you need. You can upload images from your local computer, or from the web. Local files work just the way you might expect.

enhance images

Browse to the image you want to play with, and hit the upload button.

Take note of the maximums. No more than 6000 pixels on the long side, and no more than 8MB in size. And if you happen to be working with RAW files, remember to convert to JPG first.

enhance images

Web uploads are just as easy. Browse to an image, click the button. Now let’s do something with it.

Making changes

We need an example, so let’s start with a default conversion from this:

enhance images

TiltShiftMaker presents you with a set of options. By default, it’s going to come out like this, but let’s work through the settings:

enhance images online

enhance images online

A real tilt-shift lens is moved out of line with the normal path of the light through the camera, and as a result tends to end up with a very small depth of field (the part of the photo that is in focus). Adjusting the focus on the lens moves that band back and forth, and lets you choose the small part of the image that is sharply in focus.

enhancing images

On the website, moving the slider up and down has the same effect, and allows us to get the child in focus, while blurring the rest of the image. You can adjust the effect further with the Focus size slider, making the band as narrow as makes sense to you.

Hit the Preview button to get an idea of what you might be doing.

The last option in this section, Enhance colors, is an example of something that improves on the real world capability. You’d struggle to do this with an actual lens. Go for it. I won’t tell.

enhance images online

Now that you’re experienced…

There are some advanced settings you can use to make your image pop.

The first setting, Defocus strength, determines how much the blurry part of the image is blurred. For some images, it doesn’t take much.

Defocus gradient sets the rate with which you slide from in to out of focus.

The last option, Enhance bokeh, might just require some explanation. Bokeh is a Japanese term relating to the way in which the out of focus background is blurred. This all gets deep really fast, but the short version is that the shapes that the background is made up of depends on the construction of the adjustable aperture on the lens. See what I mean?

In any case, the slider performs some magic in the background to make the bokeh look better. Your mileage will decidedly depend.

And from here?

Once you have the image you want, you can click on the Get full size button to save a copy locally, and then you can upload it to your favourite web location.

There are some places you might like to take a look at, to see what people have been doing. People who are a whole lot better at this than me. Firstly, check the gallery at the site. Then move on over to flickr, and finally take a look in the group at Photobucket.

enhancing images

We’ve covered a number of other photo-enhancement options in the past. You might also like to take a look at these.

A similar capability is available at TiltShift Generator. You can rescue some of your images at FocusMagic, and remove red eye here. Varun talked about a stack of enhancement sites in this list, and if you have any interest in digital photography whatsoever, you really need to take a look at Bakari’s stunning new PDF guide. Something to download and read thoroughly.

That’s it. I’d love to know how you go, any other techniques you find useful, and perhaps some links to your results. Let me know in the comments.

Share Anything, Anytime, Anywhere with Sendible [MakeUseOf Giveaway]

At MakeUseOf, we’re large supporters of social networking and its perks. It’s definitely something that we can’t get enough of. It allows us a chance to be closer to our readers — that’s you! And one of the best web services that allows us to do just that is Sendible.

It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Sendible; we’ve featured them twice on MakeUseOf and gladly announce it every Sunday on Twitter and Facebook.

We’d very much like to share the opportunity with you to get to know and utilise Sendible. So this week, we will be giving away 5 one-year subscription for Sendible’s Marketeer account. Find out how you can win one after the jump.

For those who are unfamiliar with Sendible, please allow Jonathan Bennett to take you on a short guided tour. Here we go.

With Sendible, you can manage and use all of your social networking accounts from one central location. It’s much nicer to only load one web site instead of five or ten tabs. This will save you a lot of time, because you can read and send all of your messages at one time and place.

Sendible Networks Supported

It couldn’t be much easier to add all of your accounts to your Sendible profile. All you need to do is click on the “Add/Edit Services” tab at the top and a page full of services will load for you to add to your account. Sendible supports all of the major networks.

how to share links on facebook

The networks are listed in different categories, like “Status Updates and Microblogging”, “Photo Sharing” (think Flickr or Facebook photo albums) and “Link Sharing” (Facebook, Typepad, WordPress, Blogger, and more).

how to share links on facebook

Sendible also adds nice little features that aren’t built-in to the native web applications. For example, Twitter messages are limited to 140 characters, but Sendible’s message box is able to split them up into multiple tweets. For those times when you can’t just keep it short, this feature comes to the rescue. Just type your full message as normal and Sendible takes care of the rest.

How to Share Links with Live Automatic Preview on Facebook

One feature I particularly like about Sendible that is useful for me is the ability to post links that automatically grab a text preview of an article and post it on Facebook. This is a feature that many other services don’t provide or they do it in a limited fashion.

Using Sendible’s message box to compose is intuitive and fast. You can quickly type up your message, create short links and schedule your posts all from the same page.

how to share links on facebook

I can’t stress enough how being able to do it all from one box saves a lot of time. You could write an article for your blog (including images), post it, make a short link for it, then quickly mention it to your friends on Facebook and Twitter with ease, all from the same message box. And as I said before, when you post your link on Facebook, Sendible knows to grab the data from the link too:

Your Own Blog

Besides being able to post to your own blog if you have one, you could also create a blog using Sendible’s own internal blog service. Your blog will be available at http://your-name.sendible.com. Although the styling choices are limited for free users, it does come with a nice minimalistic theme.

You are given many settings to customize your blog, like the standard fields of blog name, blog tagline, author name, bio, and an image of yourself.

how to share links

Writing a post is as easy as typing in any other blogging software. You can even schedule blog posts, just like you can schedule your status updates. Once your blog has been posted, you and everyone else can view what you write and leave comments.

Reminding & Scheduling

I’m the type of guy who likes a clear mind. If I can write down something and have a machine remind me of it later, then that’s perfect. My brain needs all of the free space and energy it can get. So this is why I’m glad Sendible has a nice scheduling service built-in. It’s good to be able to jot down something in the moment, schedule a time and let it fly.

Not only can you use it to schedule status updates or blog posts at a certain time, you could even use it as a personal reminder service. You can also setup recurring reminders. Another popular idea is to schedule blog posts while you’re on vacation so your readers are not left without you for the whole time.

how to share links in facebook

If you haven’t looked at Sendible in a while, give it another try. It’s a fast and useful all-in-one service that is definitely worth your time. For power users, they offer even more features at a monthly price.

It’s simple, just follow the instructions.

The Best Free Web Cams To Watch When You’re Bored

free web cams to watchBoredom is something that is hard to come by these days but it does happen.  One way to take the edge off your boredom is to catch up with your favorite webcam.

In this article I will be sharing some of the best free web cams to watch to help you and your boredom. There are many type of web cams (nearly 2000 on Justin.tv alone) but I have chosen a few that should be interesting enough to keep your attention.

Watching Animals

The first of the animal cams I have to share is the puppy cam.  Come on, who doesn’t like to watch cute puppies running around making us laugh?  Check out this puppy for a few minutes: Shiba Inu Puppy Cam

If you aren’t a lover of all things puppy, you can watch the goats instead.  True, they eat clothes but they also give us milk and cheese.  Watch them frolic for a bit: Goats Live

Free Web Cams to Watch

Goats don’t get your goat?  The webcam at the North American Bear Center may be the place for you.  Watch long enough and see if one of the three resident bears decide to drop by for a visit: North American Bear Center Web Cam

Who knew they had penguins in Dublin?  Apparently they do at the zoo.  Oh, and they decided to install a free web cam to watch for all of our enjoyment.  Watch them for a bit of penguin antics: Live Penguin Cam

You can only take watching penguins for so long, right?  Switch to watching roaches… up close.  Even though you have to refresh the page to get the image updated, watching these disgusting bugs could keep your attention until the next task of the day calls: Roach Cam

Watching other people.

The next two cameras allow you to watch people as they enjoy food and drink from within coffee joints.  Share a cup from your own computer, virtually.

Check out the Northtown Coffee House.  From the webcam you can watch as drinks are prepared and customers are waited upon.  Now don’t you wish you were in line? Northtown Coffee House Web Cam

This webcam gives you the view from the outside looking longingly in.  You can watch as people walk in and out enjoying their purchases.  Check out Nicoletti’s Coffee Shop.

Miscellaneous Cams.

Some people… I just don’t know.  This guy decided to fill his house (and yards) with webcams.  I am not sure why but it does make for some entertainment. Watch this guy’s house as his kids play in the living room, the table is set in the dining room, meals are prepared in the kitchen, and more.

Get your geek on and watch Chris Pirillo’s live webcam.  Chris likes to keep his camera running 24×7, even when he’s not in the room.  The chatroom is usually filled with some sort of geeky conversation.  When he is there, you may catch him recording YouTube videos and stuff.  Good for geeks.

free web cams to watch

I know that when choosing the best free web cams to watch when bored that the choices are relative to a person’s interests.  This list contains a variety of types of live webcams to enjoy.  This being said, you may have some webcams you find interesting.  If you do, please share them with us.

Track Down and Recover Your Stolen Laptop with Prey

recover stolen laptopLoJack is a device that’s made life harder for would-be car thieves. Here’s how it works: a GPS chip capable of calling home is hidden somewhere on a given car. If that car is stolen, the police now have the ability to track where it is via GPS.

Wish you had something like this for your laptop? You can, and it won’t cost you a dime. Open source program Prey can do this for your computer quickly and easily, giving you the location of your computer via your on-board GPS chip or by analyzing nearby WiFi networks. Not only that, it will show you screenshots of what the thief is using your computer for. And if you have a webcam, even take a picture of them before they realize it, before you recover your stolen laptop.

We’ve reviewed similar programs before — Lalarm, Adeona and Firefox plugin Firefound, just to name a few. Prey differs from these in a few ways, but the most important one to keep in mind is that Prey is cross platform — meaning it works on Linux, Mac and Windows.

Setting Up

Setting up Prey is simple. Just head over to the Prey download page and download the version of Prey your operating system needs. Install the program and you’ll be told how to launch the configuration tool on your platform. Fire up that tool and you’ll see something like this:

recover stolen laptop

As you can see, you need to register. No problem; just go to Prey’s signup page and sign up. You’ll need to do the standard register, email, confirm process but don’t worry: it’s worth it.

Once you are signed up you’ll get your API key; you’ll need this to configure Prey. You’ll also need a device key, which you can get easily by adding your computer to your Prey account online. Just click “Add a new device” and you’ll see some straight-forward steps. Complete this and you’ll have a device key. Go back to the Prey configuration tool and add this:

stolen laptop

Tracking

Now that you’re set up, you’re ready to track your laptop. By default Prey does nothing, but when your laptop goes missing you can log onto Prey’s website and activate your protection. Do this and you’ll receive an email as soon as the thief turns on your computer, linking you to a report so you can recover your stolen laptop.

recover stolen laptop

Be sure to configure Prey online in order to get the most of it. For example, you can enable your webcam to get a picture of your thief, or turn on your computer’s GPS chip to give you a precise location. Explore your options. Find a full list of features over at PreyProject.com

Conclusion: Useless? Not Entirely

You might be wondering if this product is of any use if the laptop is reformatted, or stripped down and sold for parts. Well, not really. But many thieves aren’t all that smart; you’d be surprised how many will start up a stolen laptop without thinking about the possibility of such tracking software.

It’s also possible that a thief will fire up your laptop in order to try to find private information about you. How ironic would it be, then, if you get private information about them in the process! So it won’t save your laptop under all circumstances, but it might help in some. The main thing to remember is that this tool doesn’t cost you a dime, so why not install it just for the peace of mind? You might well be glad you did someday.

What do you think? Is a tool like this cool, or a mere gimmick? Would you install this, or can you not image a thief dumb enough to boot up a stolen laptop?

And what I’m most interested in is this: have any of you successfully used this program to recover a stolen laptop? Please share your story if you have; we’re all ears!

MakeUseOf Pack 2010: 20+ Essential Windows Apps in One Pack

There are lots of applications out there in the World Wide Web. But which ones are the essential keepers and which ones are the useless duds? Sometimes it becomes a little difficult to tell. Well fear not because MakeUseOf, once again, rides to the rescue with our free easy-to-use MakeUseOf App Pack.

Put together by the great Ninite, the MakeUseOf Pack is split up into two levels, depending on your level of expertise. These apps have been extensively discussed and agreed upon by the whole MakeUseOf team and contains some of their personal favourites.

For all you basic users out there, we have the Padawan Pack, which contains all the basic apps that we recommend you download and use. This can be something as simple as a flash player for your browser right down to Recuva to restore any deleted files off your system. Take a look and see if there’s anything that catches your eye.

Next level up is the Jedi Master Pack, for all those who can truly feel the Force when it comes to downloading and installing apps. This recommends things like the KeePass Password Manager, TeraCopy which makes transferring files in Windows Explorer MUCH more easier and FileZilla which makes transferring files to your website a cinch.

And if that wasn’t enough, we also have a separate Security Pack for all of you who feel the urge to give your computers that extra special bit of attention. So choose from MalwareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware and TrueCrypt.

So what is the advantage of installing these apps via Ninite? Two reasons – simplicity and ease-of-use. The regular way to download and install a bunch of apps would be to visit their websites and install them all one-by-one. But with Ninite, all you need to do is just tick off the ones you would like to install, click “Get Installer“, run it and then all your requested programs will be installed one by one for you.

None of the programs require rebooting your system so just run the Ninite installer, let it do its work and then you will have everything installed that you requested. Easy!

And for all you Mac and Linux users, don’t panic because we are working on your packs next. Stay tuned.

In the meantime,nWindows users, why not let us know your opinions about the MakeUseOf Pack for Windows. Did we choose the right apps or did we miss something important out? Let us know in the comments.

How To Fix Your PC Using Windows Restore in XP, Vista & 7

system restore windows xpHave you ever done something on your computer that you kind of wish you hadn’t done? For example, install that program you found on the internet; tried to find a crack to unlock a game you downloaded; or even visited a naughty website; and afterwards your computer went haywire?

Maybe it wasn’t one of those reasons and you just changed a setting on your computer and now it doesn’t work. Whatever you did (or didn’t do), when your computer stuffs up or think you may have a virus, what can you do about it; how do you fix it?

The good thing is that Windows has something called System Restore which allows you to restore your computer to how it was a day before, or even a month before.

So What Exactly is System Restore and What Does It Do?

You have probably first heard about System Restore on Windows XP. What it essentially does is restore your computer to a state that is back in time. The good thing about it is that it doesn’t delete your files. It does delete any programs or .exe files you have such as program installs you might have downloaded.

Using System Restore on Windows XP

Before you use System Restore, you must make sure that it is activated. To do this, simply right click on My Computer and select Properties. In the System Restore tab, make sure System Restore is turned on for all your drives (or at least C: Drive)

windows system restore

Once activated, your computer will automatically make system restore points regularly or when you install new software.

If you ever run into trouble on your computer, you can then restore your computer back to that stage. To do this, open system restore by going to Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> System Restore. Once opened, you should see two or three options to choose from. The first option allows you to restore your computer to an earlier time, and the second option allows you to create a restore point. This is great if you are about to do something that you think may upset your computer. The third option will only appear if you have used System Restore before and this lets you undo the restore if it didn’t fix your problem or made things worse.

windows system restore

We want to restore our computer, so select the first option and click next.

On the next screen you will be presented with a calendar and all dates that have a restore point will be in bold. Select a recent date and choose a restore point on that date to one that you know your computer was working.

windows system restore

Once done, select next and agree to the warning message and then press next.

system restore windows xp

Your computer will restart and reboot and the program you are having should be fixed. If it’s not, you can go back to a previous date or undo the restore as I mentioned above.

Using System Restore on Windows Vista

To access System Restore, just follow the same steps as in Windows XP Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> System Restore.

restore windows xp

Here you can select the latest restore point or choose a different restore point. I would recommend choosing a restore point.

restore windows xp

If you want to show all your restore points, click the checkbox on the bottom left. Simple select a checkpoint, press next and agree to the confirmation.

restore windows xp

Using System Restore on Windows 7

Using System Restore is not much different to using it in Windows Vista.  You can access it by going to Start –> All Programs –> Accessories –> System Tools –> System Restore.

restore windows xp

Simply select a recovery position from the list and click Next and Finish on the next screen.

restore windows xp

As I have not used Windows 7 before (apart from the RC and Beta versions), I believe there are a few more options other than System Restore that you can use to help repair your computer. However, most of these require your installation DVD. By reading a post on Microsoft.com, there are a few repair options to choose from which you can access when you press F8 when booting your computer to enter the recovery console. If you want perform a certain recovery option, visit this link for more information.

system restore windows xp

One final option is to use the Backup and Restore option which can be found at Control Panel –> System and Security –> Backup and Restore. Using this method, you can create a backup image of your computer and restore it at a later date – but this will be for another post.

So I hope you now know how to repair your computer yourself if you ever run into trouble. System Restore is a lifesaver (it has helped me hundreds of times) and could save you a lot of money compared to taking your computer to a local computer repair shop.

If you have any problems about using System Restore or general backup questions, feel free to ask in the comments or at MakeUseOf Answers.

How To Quickly See Available Keyboard Shortcuts On Windows Desktop

windows keyboard shortcutsWindows keyboard shortcuts may relieve you from not having to ever touch your mouse, which could accelerate things quite a bit. But when you combine custom program shortcuts in Windows, plus the native shortcuts in, say, Firefox and other applications, it’s very easy to just forget all the combinations that you created.

In fact, one of our readers in the MakeUseOf Answers community pondered whether the dream of a centralized shortcut manager existed. ActiveHotkeys and Qliner both aim to provide interfaces to view enabled shortcuts, but may not contain information about the shortcut actions or native keyboard combinations from all programs.

If you want to keep track of all Windows keyboard shortcuts, you can list them in a text file, stitch opaque text with your desktop wallpaper or you can try hovering to the edge of your desktop to see a toolbar with all shortcuts. This is nothing new, but you can still achieve the latter easily in Windows right now! There’s no extra software you’ll need for this.

Creating Your List of Shortcuts

keyboard shortcuts

First, in Windows Explorer, make a folder (right-click, select New, then Folder) named something along the lines of keyboardshortcuts – I try to make things easier for myself and save time by not worrying about capital letters or spaces unless they’re totally necessary. Then right-click on the folder and select Create Shortcuts.

keyboard shortcuts

You may wish to make a few more if you have more items in mind. Now select all of the shortcuts you created and moved them to the keyboardshortcuts (or whatever your named your) folder.

keyboard shortcuts

Double-click on the folder to see your shortcuts. Click on the first one, hit F2, rename your shortcut as you see fit (e.g. “ctrl+shft+k for wikipedia“) and when you’re done renaming your first item and want to go to the next item, just press Tab instead of Enter. This will save you from having to click each one to rename it or even using the Up and Down keys.

windows keyboard shortcuts

Making Your List Part of Your Desktop

When you’re done, head to the previous folder so you can see keyboardshortcuts. Now click on keyboardshortcuts and drag it to the edge of your desktop screen.

keyboard shortcuts for windows

When you drop it, a toolbar will magically form. Here, I’m showing you to do it in the top portion of the screen, but if you use your browser’s bookmarks toolbar or navigational toolbar a lot, I would drop keyboardshortcuts somewhere else, like to the left of the screen, unless you have your taskbar there like I do. Now that you have a starter informational toolbar, right-click on it and check both Always on Top and Auto-Hide. This enables the toolbar to be summoned into focus only when you need it and hover over it.

keyboard shortcuts for windows

Organizing Your List

If you wish to organize your information and create separators, you can always repeat the steps to create separate folders. Instead of drag and dropping them onto the edge, this time you can include them by just right-clicking on your starter toolbar, selecting Toolbar and then New Toolbar.

keyboard shortcuts for windows

You can right-click on the toolbar, select View and then Small Icons to fit more items. You can also drag the resizers on the left of the toolbars to reorder them. You can’t lock the toolbars, but you can extend the toolbar to at least half of your screen if you have a monster list with numerous shortcuts.

Other uses

If your folder only has a few shortcuts, you could always include it in the Taskbar with the same right-click > Toolbar > New Toolbar. In fact, you could make a quick to-do or goals list in the Taskbar, or in a separate toolbar if you find the first option too obstrusive. To change the icons for the shortcuts, simply head into the shortcuts Properties by right-click, and find Change Icon in the Shortcut tab (Windows XP users may need different directions). I wouldn’t advise spending too much time with customizing icons but sometimes, a little eye candy may just boost your enthusiasm to want to look at your goals. FindIcons is a great search engine packed with glossy icons.

If you create the folders in your My Dropbox folder, you can even look at your goals in your mobile with Dropbox’s iPhone or Android app.

windows keyboard shortcuts

You could also drop your Downloads folder so you could quickly see your downloaded items and not have to worry about closing up Firefox’s Downloads window.

Don’t forget that MakeUseOf has already compiled several cheat sheets with the most popular and useful keyboard shortcuts. Do download them!

What are your thoughts on this method to quickly refer to a list? If you have implemented something similar, or even totally different, please do share it with us in the comments!

6 Humorous Ways To Annoy Friends On Facebook

funny ways to annoy your friendsFacebook is a fun place to be.  You can call anyone from your closest relative to some acquaintance you knew way back in high school a “friend” and not feel awkward because of it.  Friends on Facebook are basically people you know and Facebook is a fun place to either get to know people better or just to keep up with the family.

Notice that I mentioned the word “fun” a few times in the previous paragraph.  It is true that Facebook is a place to network and to keep up with people.  However, it can also be a fun place to play around with your friends.

No, I am not talking about those stupid little games like throwing sheep around or pretending you know anything about farming.  I’m talking about just plain old having fun at your friends’ expense.  If you are creative enough, you can find all kinds of ways to have fun with each other without selling your soul to any of those applications.

I can come up with a few.  Try them out and see if you can pull them off in the spirit of fun without making enemies.  Without further adieu, here’s how to go out of your way to annoy friends on Facebook.

1.  Go Through Their Profile Pictures, Add Stupid Comments In Speech Balloons & Tag Them.

A friend of mine did this to his sister and the result was hilarious!  The idea is to choose a picture where you can see their faces.  If they are doing something funny, it’s even better.  Go to the page with the picture, right-click and click and save the image.  Open it in your favorite image editing program, and add some mad cool text.  Use a speech balloon if you’ve got the skills.

funny ways to annoy your friends

Don’t forget to tag them or else what would be the fun?

2. Make Annoying Comments On Their Updates.

Try to be creative in your annoyance here.  You could try repeating everything they say (ever done the “copying” game as a kid… or coworker?).  This game becomes easier with a tool like Facebook because you can always copy and paste.  Indubitably they’ll respond with “Stop copying me!” and that conversation could become endless.  You could also respond to every update with something like “That’s stupid.”  You may get lucky and have them respond with “Why?”

3. Create A Fanpage For A Friend & See How Long It Takes Him To Notice.

Fan pages are fun, but not as much fun as making one for a friend!  Make sure you make up lots of goofy stuff that people will know is not true.  Share with the world all of their super powers and the type of stuff they like to eat.  Just make it totally annoying and you’ll have succeeded.

When the fan page is done, start inviting mutual friends and see how long it takes for the friend to notice.  I suppose you could either communicate on his behalf in an annoying manner or just speak about him in the third person.

4. Tell The World Every Single Thing You Are Doing Throughout The Whole Day.

OK, I know this one hits too close to home for a few of you but for the sake of being annoying, take it to a whole new extreme.  Don’t just say that you brushed your teeth, but describe it for us.  Find every detail of your life that day and describe it.

If you want to make life easier, guess as close as possible how your day is going to be, and what you are going to be doing, and use a tool like HootSuite to schedule posts ahead of time.  Schedule them every couple of minutes or even once an hour.  Just enough to really get under your friends’ skin.

5. Paste Random Bits Of Code Into Your Status Updates.

Not sure why you’d want to do this, but random bits of code will be sure to annoy your friends.  It could also show your techier side at the same time.

You could either use it in conjunction with actually saying something.

or just by itself.

6. Become Infatuated With CAPS Lock.

Ever since the internet began to be popular, the CAPS lock has always meant you are yelling.  Start updating using all caps.  It’ll really get people’s attention.  You may get annoying responses telling you to keep it down as if their ears are actually hurting.

Be careful as you do some of these.  You don’t want to bombard your friends with so much annoying garbage that you start losing them.  Oh and these are just a few ways to get on the nerves of your lovely friends on Facebook.  I know for sure that there are more so share your favorites in the comments, would you?
